THERE will be a continuous stream of job fairs and recruitment drives this year, as Community Development Councils (CDCs) try to match unemployed residents with prospective employers.
North West CDC said it will be holding nine job placement exercises a month, up from the usual six or seven, while South West CDC will double its number to six.
These job placement or recruitment exercises usually involve three to five employers from a particular industry doing interviews or talking to job seekers about positions available. Job seekers who had registered with the CDC and are interested in that specific industry will be invited to be part of the exercise.
