BEIJING: - This is not known to be the land of scintillating political speeches.
But Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping raised China watchers' eyebrows and sent netizens into a tizzy yesterday when his comments chastising 'some foreigners' for meddling in China's affairs were published on local news websites.
In a video clip accompanying text reports, Mr Xi was seen telling a group of overseas Chinese in Mexico on Wednesday: 'There are some foreigners whohave eaten their fill and have nothing better to do than point their fingers at our affairs.
'China does not, first, export revolution; second, export poverty and hunger; or third, cause unnecessary trouble for them. What else is there to say?'
