SAFFC in Asian Champs League

SINGAPORE Armed Forces FC became the country's first team to qualify for the Asian Football Confederation Champions League yesterday, beating Indonesia's PSMS Medan 2-1 in a play-off match.

The Asian Champions League is the continent's most prestigious club competition.

Previously, Singapore clubs had competed only in the second tier, the AFC Cup.
