A BUSINESSWOMAN who was once a tai tai was convicted on Wednesday of employing maids to clean her office.

Avatar Ng Ngah Len, 54, a director of Quakes Agency, a general insurance agency, was found guilty of employing three Indonesians and a Filipino maid during varying periods in 2006 and 2007 to clean the office, initially at Textile Centre in Jalan Sultan and later at Tanjong Pagar Road.
