Kicked out of Taiwan team

By Lin Xinyi

TAIWAN'S former double world pool champion Wu Chia-ching no longer has a place in the national team.

He recently voiced his desire to become a Singapore citizen - a decision that has not been taken lightly by the Taiwan Pool and Billiards Association (CTBA).

CTBA president Tu Yung-hui told The Straits Times yesterday: 'We made it very clear in our discussion (last month) that if he is prepared to go to Singapore, he has to be prepared to give up the privileges he has here.'
