CUSTOMERS who want to surf or work on the go without lugging around bulky laptop computers could soon be using smaller netbooks that come with a broadband connection plan.

At least one operator here, MobileOne (M1), said there will be more promotions this year to bundle netbooks on the cheap with contracts for broadband Internet, in the same way that most cellphones are sold with plans now.

An M1 spokesman said customers can expect more of such promotions as brands introduce netbooks to their product lines.
