A DEATH threat was sent to a member of the new exco of Aware as well as the husband of president Josie Lau.
The letter was addressed to honorary secretary Jenica Chua, as well as Dr Alan Chin, and sent to Aware's office on April 14.
The letter writer called himself a 'masculine gay' and a 'jihadist sleeper' and claimed to have joined a militant group. He warned them: 'Wait for the day to come. I may not hurt you but someone you love most, that will cause you great pain.'

Lawyer's key role in Aware coup
By Zakir Hussain
SENIOR lawyer Thio Su Mien yesterday revealed the key role she played in bringing about the change of leadership at the Association of Women for Action and Research (Aware).
Appearing at a press conference called at short notice by some of the association's new leaders, she said she was alarmed to discover that Aware had lost sight of its original purpose and become pro-lesbian and pro-homosexual.
Dr Thio, 71, a born-again Christian who runs her own law firm, is the mother of Nominated Member of Parliament Thio Li-ann and her nephew, Dr Alan Chin, is married to new Aware president Josie Lau.

By Radha Basu, Senior Correspondent
IT WAS 7.20pm and 20 minutes past the scheduled start of yesterday's press conference.
The smartly attired new office bearers of the Association of Women for Action and Research (Aware) were just starting proceedings when a jeans-clad woman carrying a backpack burst into the room.
'Why do I know nothing about this press conference?...I am utterly disappointed and disgusted,' shouted Ms Chew I-Jin, 40, assistant honorary treasurer of the new committee.
