THE sharp rise in the Singapore dollar helped send full-year profits at SingTel tumbling 13 per cent to $3.45 billion.

Revenue for the year to March 31 defied the trend somewhat to inch up 0.6 per cent to $14.9 billion.

Its fourth-quarter results were also well down on last year's, with net profit 17 per cent lower at $903 million while revenue slumped 5.1 per cent to $3.56 billion.
