COMMUNITY clubs (CCs) have upped the level of sophistication in their courses, offering classes ranging from shochu appreciation to chocolate making and even wine-and-food pairing sessions.
And instead of holding these in the functional classrooms typical of CCs, novel locations such as restaurants, parks and even Lau Pa Sat have been picked.
Ms Jacinta Lim, director of the Lifeskills & Lifestyle Division at the People's Association (PA), said these courses are designed to meet the rising aspirations of Singaporeans and residents and to reach a wider cross-section of people.
