A VETERAN social service professional, a high-flying accountant and a champion for the silver-haired brigade are just three of 46 people vying to be in the next batch of Nominated MPs, which will be unveiled next month.

National Council of Social Service (NCSS) board member David Ong, 63, had his name submitted by NCSS. He has been working in the social service sector for more than 40 years and is president of the Association of Fundraisers.

He has been involved in many organisations, including the Tampines Family Service Centre, Red Cross Singapore and the Singapore Hospice Council.
