A MAN who failed in his bid to have sex with a then 15-year-old girl went for an alternative: He asked her to perform oral sex on him and then recorded the act on his cellphone.

Yesterday, Shahrizam Mohamed Asri, 33, was sentenced to jail for eight months. He had pleaded guilty to attempted sex and allowing the girl to perform fellatio on him in December 2005. A third charge was taken into consideration.

The offences occurred in a multi-storey carpark in Boon Lay Drive.
