DON'T light up before you know they are paid up.

Smokers who are carrying packets of Singapore duty-paid cigarettes back into the country after a trip may still be required to pay duties for them.

This issue was ignited in May when Mr Roland Yee, 56, was made to pay the duty again on cigarettes he had purchased here when returning from a business trip.
