Extradite Thaksin? No, says Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: Cambodia yesterday rejected a request from Bangkok to arrest and extradite former Thai premier Thaksin Shinawatra, in a sign the diplomatic row between the neighbours is likely to drag on.

The request came in a note that Thai diplomats delivered to Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs here yesterday morning.

The ministry responded shortly afterwards with a note essentially saying the Cambodian government rejected the request.
