Feer to pay $405,000 to PM and MM

THE Far Eastern Economic Review (Feer) has agreed to pay Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew a total of $405,000 in damages and costs for defamation.

Lawyers for the Lees told The Straits Times that a consent order to this effect was entered in the High Court on Friday.

Review Publishing Company, which publishes Feer, and Feer editor Hugo Restall, have consented to pay PM Lee $200,000 in damages and $30,000 in legal costs.
