Online-drug crackdown nets four

FOUR people here have been caught peddling drugs illegally online in a worldwide sting to crack down on unapproved Internet sales.

In all, 107 online platforms - websites, forums, blogs, auction sites and online classified sites - were screened here over the past five days by Health Sciences Authority (HSA) officers.

It took part in a global effort led by Interpol and the World Health Organisation to weed out an increasing number of websites offering prescription drugs or health products containing potentially dangerous ingredients.
