Koh wins S'pore's only medal

SHE finished more than 30 seconds behind winner Kathryn Meaklim of South Africa in the 400m individual medley yesterday.

But the partisan crowd at the Singapore Sports School did not mind, erupting into applause as national swimmer Koh Ting Ting, 16, touched the wall in 4min 54.81sec.

It was good enough for third place and Singapore's first medal in this year's five-city World Cup series (short course).
