THE international network of the perpetrators of the Mumbai attacks seems to be unravelling days ahead of the first anniversary of the carnage.

The Italian police have arrested two Pakistani men for allegedly providing logistical support to the conspirators of the attacks that left 166 people dead.

Mohammad Yaqub Janjua, 60, and his son Aamer Yakub, 31, who ran a money transfer agency, were arrested last Saturday in the northern Italian city of Brescia. They allegedly transferred US$229 (S$320) a day before the attacks to activate an Internet phone used by the gunmen to stay in touch with their handlers in Pakistan and take orders during their killing spree.
