HOUSEWIFE Liau Cheok Huey received a priceless gift for her 50th birthday - a kidney from her husband which saved her life.

Madam Liau had been diagnosed with kidney failure four years ago and was undergoing dialysis at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF).

Throughout her treatment, she declined numerous offers from her husband Teo Eng Hong, 51, to accept one of his kidneys.
