IT IS the battle of the big spenders at Jalan Besar Stadium tonight, as Singapore Armed Forces FC and Thailand's Muang Thong United clash in the Asian Football Confederation Champions League (ACL) final qualifier.

The losers will tumble out of the tournament and into the lower-tier AFC Cup. And neither the S-League nor Thai Premier League champions want to be the ones to miss out on Asia's richest club competition which guarantees fixtures against the continent's top clubs, as well as total prize money of US$14 million (S$20 million).

The winners take home US$1.5 million.
