MOST American International Assurance (AIA) customers under participating policies will benefit from higher bonus and dividend payments this year.

The insurer announced on Thursday that clients covered under 82 per cent of its participating policies - life insurance policies providing a combination of guaranteed benefits and non-guaranteed bonuses or dividends - are to get bonus and dividend rates for this year that will be higher than those for last year.

The remaining clients will get payments maintained at the same rate as last year.
