KUALA LUMPUR: The Johor Sultan has revoked awards conferred on polar adventurer Sharifah Mazlina Syed Abdul Kadir and two others, including the ruler's brother-in-law, the palace revealed yesterday.

This came on the heels of news that former Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) leader Chua Jui Meng had been stripped of two Datuk titles conferred by the Johor palace.

Johor Council of Royal Court secretary Abdul Rahim Ramli said a few other people have had their titles stripped in the past, but no announcements had been made.
