Man in charge of collapsed Thai condo surrenders

THAILAND - Chanaichon Kerdthes, an executive of Plook Plang Co Ltd, who was in charge of the construction of a Pathum Thani condominium that collapsed and killed 14 workers on August 11, reported to police yesterday.

Chanaichon, accompanied by his lawyer Chalermchai Laisakul, surrendered to Pol Colonel Ratchapol Chanasrikhajorn, superintendent of the Khlong 5 police station.

He posted Bt100,000 (S$3,908) worth of assets as deposit for bail release.
