Mum extorts $8000 from daughter

The Star/ANN | Friday, Aug 22, 2014

After failing to coax her daughter to prostitute herself, a mother resorted to extorting RM20,000 (S$7,881) from the 21-year-old and threatening to sell her off, reported Sin Chew.

Last Saturday, the mother, from Jalan Chow Kit, checked into a hotel with her two daughters at about 10pm.

Later, the mother, in her 40s, was said to have introduced her younger daughter to a man and told her to sleep with him.

When the girl refused her mother's order, the angry mother slapped her daughter and beat her up.

The daughter managed to run away from the hotel and spent the night at a friend's place. However, the mother later found the girl and told her to hand over RM20,000 or she would sell her off.

The mother then forced the girl to follow her home.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Rasdi Ramli confirmed the case.
