28-year-old suspect arrested for sexual assault

SINGAPORE - A 28-year-old man has been arrested by the police for his suspected involvement in a sexual assault case.

At about 4am on Oct 26, a 21-year-old female victim filed a police report stating that she had been molested within the vicinity of Marsiling Drive.

After thorough investigations with the aid of police cameras and CCTVs, police officers from the Jurong Police Division identified the suspect and arrested him on Oct 27.

The arrest took place around Shipyard Rd at 7pm on Oct 27.

If convicted, the suspect may face a maximum jail term of 20 years and may also be subjected to a fine or caning.
