SINGAPORE - A Malaysian-registered car was found to be carrying more than 1kg of drugs with a potential street value of at least $127,000 after a routine check at the Woodlands Checkpoint on May 9.

The drugs were hidden in the car's front fenders.

Following the arrest of the 33-year-old male Malaysian driver at about 9am that day, Central Narcotics Bureau officers raided a Tampines HDB flat and a Bedok HDB flat later in the afternoon.

Four Singaporean men aged between 27 and 57, a 41-year-old Singaporean woman and a 28-year-old Indonesian woman were arrested.

Total drugs seized that day amounted to more than 2kg, with a value of about $170,000.
