Awards and accolades for SPH Magazines at APEX Awards 2014

SINGAPORE - SPH Magazines Pte Ltd's Custom Publishing division clinched three awards at APEX 2014's 26th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence.

Out of nearly 2,100 entries received from around the world, the team garnered a Grand Award and two Awards of Excellence for its custom titles.

SilverKris, Singapore Airlines' inflight travel magazine, received a Grand Award for its August 2013 tablet edition in the Digital category. Together with print, SilverKris' digital editions, which include the fully interactive tablet and the website (www.silverkris.com), form part of SPH Magazines' integrated approach to publishing. The August issue, traditionally the Singapore issue (to celebrate the nation's national day) made for a strong entry with its tablet-exclusive stories, media-rich content, creative use of animation, and visually impressive layouts to bring the magazine to life.

SingHealth, published for Singapore General Hospital and SingHealth Academic Healthcare Cluster, received an Award of Excellence (Healthy & Medical Materials category) for the September 2013 issue. SingHealth, a bi-monthly health newspaper in a handy tabloid size, is distributed at various health establishments throughout Singapore, as well as high traffic points in the city.

Clinching an Award of Excellence (Green Print Media) was Singapore Nautilus' Green Pledge Booklet. Singapore Nautilus is a quarterly corporate magazine published for the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. With a worldwide distribution which includes members of the shipping/maritime community and various government bodies, the magazine covers topical local and international maritime issues.
