The wedded bliss of a couple ended a mere 15 hours later when the bride was found dead on her bed with blood oozing from her mouth and nose.

Junaida Jamaludin, 29, who married Muhammad Danial Zainal Abdidin, 30, was found dead by her family at her home in Petaling Jaya at 8.30am on Saturday just before the wedding reception.

Kosmo! reported that the couple had held their akad nikah the previous evening.

Kamarul Affendi Jamaluddin, 38, said his sister had exchanged marriage vows with Muhammad Danial at about 5.45pm on Friday with the wedding reception scheduled to be held at Dewan Gemilang Yayasan Felda in Kelana Jaya at 11.30am the next day.

He said family members thought Junaida, the youngest of four siblings, had gone to the venue earlier but were surprised when she was not there.

The family tried to contact her and assumed she had overslept.

"We tried to contact her but failed. I checked her bedroom and saw her lying on her bed," he said.

He said the family rushed Junaida to the hospital but she was pronounced dead due to internal bleeding.
