The Star/ANN | Saturday, Apr 19, 2014

GEORGE TOWN - The funeral procession tomorrow will make stops at four places significant to Karpal Singh - the Penang High Court, his office in Green Hall, the Penang State Assembly building and his alma mater St Xavier's Institution (SXI).

The hearse carrying Karpal's casket will proceed to the Batu Gantong crematorium from the school.

Funeral committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the hearse would leave Karpal's house in Jalan Utama at 8.15am for Dewan Sri Pinang where he would be given a funeral with state honours.

It will pass Jalan Utama, Jalan Macalister, Lebuhraya Peel, Jalan Perak, Jalan Burma, Jalan Pangkor, Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, Lebuh Farquhar and Lebuh Light on its way to Dewan Sri Pinang.

The public can pay their last respects to Karpal at Dewan Sri Pinang from 9am to 10.30am.

Chow suggested that those who want to pay their respects wear smart casual clothes that are black and white in colour.

The public can also pay their last respects to Karpal at his house at 144, Jalan Utama, from 10am to 11pm today.
