Newspaper puts spotlight on beggars' posh lifestyle

The Star/ANN | Monday, Sep 15, 2014

MALAYSIA - On Friday, a netizen first found the family having breakfast at a fast-food outlet.

At noon, one of the men ordered a beef takeaway at a shop and bought cans of beer. He then poured the beer into a bottle, disguising it as a medicinal drink for another family member who was lying on the street covered in a blanket before they started begging.

Just before they called it a day during tea time, the family was spotted having ice cream, fruits and tea at a cafe. For dinner, the family treated themselves to an expensive meal of meat, fish and beer at a restaurant. Pictures of the fake beggar family were posted online, sparking anger among netizens.
