RHB introduces financial relief programme for flood victims

PETALING JAYA - The RHB Banking Group has introduced a financial relief programme which offers a six-month moratorium for monthly instalment payments of loans, among others, to flood victims.

It also provides an extension of up to three months on repayment of personal financing, auto finance and Easy loans while certain finance charges will also be waived.

RHB Banking Group deputy group managing director Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli said the flood relief programme comes into effect immediately. He hopes the initiative will alleviate the financial burden of clients during this difficult time.

"We understand that they would have more immediate worries to attend to at this point in time," he said in a statement yesterday.

Under the relief programme, a dedicated "Food Claims Hotline" at 03-7989 0310 or 03-7989 0311 had also been set up for RHB insurance policy holders affected by the floods.

Clients can call the bank's call centre at 1300 88 8742 or visit its home branches to apply for relief assistance.

Teams will be on standby to review each request on a case-by-case basis.
