VIP treatment for grandma who saved child from molester

The Star/ANN | Monday, Sep 22, 2014

MALACCA - A single mother, who saved her adopted granddaughter from a molester early this year, was moved to tears when she was picked to be the guest of honour at a graduation ceremony.

Tears welled up in Radziah Ramli's (pic) eyes when she was given a standing ovation by some 60 participants of a one-day beautician's course at SJK (T) Kubu here.

Radziah, 54, was representing state Private Sector Affairs, Human Resources and NGO Committee chairman Datuk M.S. Mahadevan in handing over certificates to the participants at the event organised by non-government organisation, Kuala Lumpur-based Social Development Foundation.

Radziah gained fame after she saved her adopted granddaughter from a child molester, who had stripped the girl naked behind a community hall in Telok Mas in February.
