Cinema still: Fight Club starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton

Chuck Palahniuk's popular novel Fight Club will be back with a 10-part comic book mini-series titled Fight Club 2.

The series, illustrated by Cameron Stewart and published by Dark Horse Comics, will take place in periods before and after the original novel that was adapted into a movie that Brad Pitt and Edward Norton starred in.

The new comic book series will be released in April 2015.

In an interview with USA Today, Palahniuk said that the first book was "such a tirade against fathers - everything I had thought my father had not done combined with everything my peers were griping about their fathers".

The sequel however will be about how he "now... finds myself at the age that my father was when I was trashing him" and explores whether the protagonist can be a better father than his own.

Palahniuk also let slip a small revelation about Tyler Durden, one of the characters from the original story.

"Tyler [Durden] is something that maybe has been around for centuries and is not just this aberration that's popped into [the original protagonist's] mind," he said.
