75,000 join 'Walk with a Heart'

The Straits Times | Wednesday, Aug 27, 2014

Some 5,000 Ang Mo Kio and Sengkang West residents walked about 2km from Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West to the ITE College Central yesterday as part of a nationwide mass walk that attracted 75,000 participants.

The walk was flagged off by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Called "Walk with a Heart", the national event was organised by the People's Association to show that residents care for the less privileged. The event comprised a series of walks of 2km to 3km held through the day.
