SINGAPORE - Fans who subscribe to SingTel's sports channels can get their "live" Champions League fix via the mio TV GO app when the action kicks off on Wednesday morning (Singapore time).
Available for download on Apple and Android mobile devices, the free app allows subscribers to enjoy "live" streaming for 10 channels.
These include three mio Sports channels (Ch 111, 112 and 113) where the Champions League will be shown and three mio Stadium channels (Ch 102, 103 and 104) for English Premier League matches.
Viewers can access the Champions League matches from the "mio Sports" section under the app's Football tab.
The mio Sports channels also stream "live" matches for other football competitions like the Europa League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, English Football League Championship and FA Cup.
The app features the exclusive SingTel Game On football show which provides live EPL updates and commentary on match days, and is hosted by Richard Lenton.
GO's Football portal also provides the latest EPL news, league table, match previews, team line-ups and other useful statistics while viewing "live" match commentary and airing their views in the Shout Boc section.
Apart from sports content, the GO app also offers users live streaming from four Asian channels - Jia Le Channel, ETTV Asia, ETTV Yoyo and Jiangsu Satellite Channel.
GO users can also view mio TV schedules, read show synopses and watch trailers of the latest Video-on-Demand movies.
Using the app's features is free for subscribers as its content subscription fee of $5 has been waived till May 2014.
Triple Play mio TV subscribers can pair the app with their set-top boxes and use their mobile devices as a remote control.
They can also programme their set-top box to record shows remotely with their mobile devices.
