Motorcycle, car crash at Jalan Sultan

The New Paper | Foo Jie Ying | Saturday, Oct 11, 2014

An SCDF spokesman said no one was sent to the hospital.

He was in the office yesterday afternoon when he heard a bang.

Mr Alan Yeo, in his 60s, hurried down from his office at Jalan Sultan to see what had happened.

A motorcycle and a silver Toyota Altis had collided, leaving the motorcyclist trapped under the front of the car.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said they were alerted to the incident at 4.25pm.

An ambulance was sent to the scene, but no one was sent to the hospital, the spokesman added.

Mr Yeo, who was observing the traffic police at work, said: "The fortunate thing is that no one was injured in this accident."

The motorcyclist, a Caucasian who looked to be in his 40s, told TNP he had "minor scrapes" on his right elbow.

He said he was still shaken from the crash. He and the car driver declined to comment about the accident.

The driver was visibly upset and spouted a string of Hokkien expletives as he walked towards his car.

"Waste my time, ah, you!" he shouted at the motorcyclist.
