JOHOR BARU, MALAYSIA: A 49-year-old woman crashed her car into a wall after she was held in her car at knife-point in Taman Universiti here yesterday.
The woman, who declined to be identified, said she was about to start the engine after going to the market when the robber jumped into the front seat and forced her to drive towards Taman Skudai Indah.
Holding her at knife point, he took her wallet and handphone.
Johor Baru (north) police chief Assistant Commissioner Ruslan Hassan said the woman attempted to fight him off but stopped when he slashed her.
"She drove eight kilometres before crashing the car into a wall near a row of shophouses. The robber panicked and got out of the car."
He attempted to escape into a backlane but was detained after a chase. Police found the loot in his pants.
