AN AETOS Security screening officer charged a week ago with misappropriating a passenger's wallet was accused of using the victim's credit card to cheat.

Amiten Shreeraman, 26, a Malaysian, is said to have committed criminal breach of trust of Mr Armin Spenninger's wallet containing his identity card, $120 and other personal documents at Changi Airport Terminal 1 on March 19.

That same evening, he allegedly used Mr Spenninger's HSBC credit card to buy a pair of $11 bermudas from NTUC FairPrice at the airport, as well as two phones and two Italian bracelets totalling $5,328 from Mustafa Centre in Syed Alwi Road.

The four purchases at Mustafa were made between 9.22pm and 10.30pm.

Bail of $40,000 was set.

He will be back in court on July 3.
