A WOMAN in her 80s was the victim of a snatch thief on Wednesday.

She was returning home at 1.30pm, and was waiting at the lift lobby of Block 461 Crawford Lane when a man ran towards her and grabbed her $300 gold chain.

The snatch thief was described as a Chinese man in his 40s, of slim build, and 1.6m tall.
