A LAWYER accused Madam Hametah Abdul Aziz of getting a bomoh, or a shaman, to use black magic to break up her younger sister's marriage to Tharema Vejayan Govindasamy because he was not a Muslim.

The 42-year-old housewife denied this.

She also refuted lawyer's suggestion that she had painted Tharema to be a demon so that he would be sentenced to death and she will get custody of his two young children.

Tharema is on trial for murdering his wife Smaelmeeral Abdul Aziz, 32. Her body was found at the foot of a block of flats in Stirling Road on at 4.40am on July 1, last year.
