KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Police have found five bodies, four of them believed to be those of foreign nationals, in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. The fifth has yet to be identified.
The first body, believed to be that of a male Indonesian worker, was found at a construction site early Sunday. He is said to have died eight hours earlier.
Construction workers who found the body alerted the site manager who then called the police.
Slash wounds were found on the victim's neck, arm and head. He is believed to have been attacked by a fellow worker, also said to be an Indonesian.
Ampang Jaya deputy police chief Supt Amiruddin Jamaluddin said the deceased was well-dressed.
The yet-to-be identified body has been sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post mortem.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old Myanmar national was found hanged from the second tier of his double-decker bed in Section 17, Petaling Jaya. He is believed to have hung himself with a belt.
The decomposed body was found by his housemates, staying in different rooms, who detected an unpleasant odour. Suspecting something amiss, they broke open his door and found the body. They then alerted the police.
Petaling Jaya police chief Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said police have ruled out foul play.
At Jalan Ipoh, passers-by alerted police to the decomposed body of an unidentified man they found near a river at noon on Sunday.
Sentul police chief Asst Comm Zakaria Pagan said no identification papers were found on the body which has been sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post mortem.
The bodies of two brothers, one of them beheaded, were found in an undergrowth in Lorong Haji Hamzah, Segambut Dalam.
The two, aged 25 and 27, are believed to be Indonesians. They might have died four to seven days ago.
Police will secure the bodies on Monday as it was dark by the time the bodies were discovered Sunday evening.
