SEREMBAN, MALAYSIA - A rubber tapper was robbed of jewellery worth RM5,000, a handphone and cash while working at a plantation in Sendayan, near here, on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old lost a bangle, gold chain and a pair of earrings.
State Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaki Masrof said the tapper had drawn the attention of three men, who followed her to work about 10am.
He said the trio, on two motorcycles, also kicked and slapped the woman before robbing her.
"The victim suffered minor injuries and later lodged a police report describing the men to be in their 30s."
Zaki advised plantation workers not to wear valuables when working as they could draw unnecessary attention and risk their lives.
