KOTA BARU, MALAYSIA - A 44-year-old taxi driver has lodged a police report against the nephew of a prominent politician for bribing him with S$87 (RM200) to vote for Pas candidate Siti Zailah Mohd Yusof in Rantau Panjang.

Sowi Adam, of Kampung Tasik Berangan in Pasir Mas, filed the report at Pasir Mas police station about noon yesterday.

Sowi said the man gave him the money while he was at the Barong Panas polling centre at about 5am on March 8.

"I lodged the report because I felt disappointed with the man's attitude," he said.

In the election, Siti Zailah defeated Mohd Afandi Yusoff of Barisan Nasional by 4,485 votes.
