Fingers caught in sewing machine

MUAR, MALAYSIA - A five-year-old girl, who was watching her mother sew a dress got her fingers stuck in the sewing machine's belting compartment.

Nurul Natasia Abdul Jalal was rushed to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital for treatment after firemen freed her.

A Muar Fire Services and Rescue Department spokesman said a team was rushed to the girl's house in Jalan Bukit Treh after it received a call. They took about 30 minutes to release her fingers.

A neighbour said the girl screamed in pain when the incident occurred.
