KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Things were looking quiet on the home front a day after Abdul Razak Baginda's acquittal.

At 12.20pm yesterday, he was seen leaving the house in a Volvo SUV to an unknown destination with his wife Mazlinda Makhzan and an unidentified man.

His daughter Rowena left separately in a Porsche. She came back at about 3.05pm with bags of groceries.

At 4pm, Razak's father Datuk Abdullah Malim Baginda came to the gate and offered water to newsmen who camped outside the house in Bukit Damansara since 9.30am and asked whether they know that Razak was out.

He said Razak would talk to the press when he is ready.

However, Abdullah would not tell where his son went, only saying: "Dia ada urusan (He has business)."

Reporters then asked him on the situation at home now that Razak is back.

"As usual. Don't ask me questions, ask him (Razak)," he said.

When asked on his feelings as regards his son's return, Abdullah answered meaningfully: "Life begins again" and went inside the house.

Shortly afterwards at 4.05pm, Razak, who was dressed formally in slacks and shirt, came home with Mazlinda and the unidentified man.

When greeted, he only replied "Waalaikummussalam" and went inside the house.

On Friday, Razak was acquitted by the Shah Alam High Court of abetment in the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu.

The two remaining accused C/Insp Azilah Hadri and Kpl Sirul Azhar Umar were ordered to enter their defence against the charge of murdering Altantuya. Trial has been set for Nov 10. --THE STAR
