SINGAPORE: Malaysia and Singapore will look into two "iconic projects" in Iskandar Malaysia involving a wellness centre and a mixed development township.

The joint ministerial committee chaired by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop and Singapore's National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan will study proposals for the projects.

The two projects were announced after Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Singapore leader Lee Hsien Loong met for their bilateral talks here yesterday.

Najib said he suggested the wellness centre which included spas to attract visitors and foreigners.

Lee said he suggested the township to include industrial, commercial and residential space.

Najib said Singapore might want to relocate some of their investments to Iskandar Malaysia. --The Star/Asia News Network
