KANGAR, MALAYSIA - The Tourism Ministry plans to build a beautiful garden, to be called "Secret Garden", here.
Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen, during a courtesy call on the Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, discussed plans for the "secret garden".
Dr Ng said later at a press conference that the secret garden would be built at the end of the Gua Kelam tunnel, the site of a park now. The park will be upgraded and parts would be rebuilt to accommodate beautiful water and floral scenes.
She said Gua Kelam was the most frequently visited destination in Perlis and the presence of the garden would boost the number of visitors.
On the earlier proposal to build a Little Venice in the state, she said the area chosen, Sungai Pengkalan Asam, was found to be unsuitable and the ministry was re-evaluating the choice.
