KUALA TERENGGANU - A teenage road thug probably thought he had found fame after pictures of his dangerous motorcyle stunts were published in a daily recently.

So much so, that he had the audacity to kick a traffic policeman in the stomach while trying to escape a roadblock here early yesterday.

The 18-year-old, from Marang, was high on drugs when he rode straight into a police roadblock on Jalan Sultan Mahmood at 3.15am.

He tried to turn back but Lance Corporal Mohd Nor Azuan grabbed hold of him.

A struggle ensued and Nor Azuan fell to the ground.

Just as the policeman picked himself up, the teenager kicked Nor Azuan in the stomach before fleeing.

His freedom, however, was short-lived after other policemen cornered him.

Upon checking, police found that he was riding his motorcycle without a valid licence and that his machine was heavily modified.

They also found Harian Metro clippings in which pictures of him were published taunting traffic policemen at a recent traffic operation by showing off dangerous motorcycle stunts.

He also tested positive for Methaphetamine abuse.
