A JOBLESS man, charged last week with robbing a massage parlour, faced three more similar charges on Friday.

Jackson Teo, 23, unemployed, is said to have robbed three more Chinese nationals of cash and valuables totaling $6,797.

Teo, accused last Friday of robbing Ms Yu Ping of $2,000 at the Balestier Road premises, allegedly robbed Ms Liu Xiaoji of two cellphones and $100 in cash, and Ms Liu Yannan of $297 and 5,200 yuan (S$1,000) on Sept 20.

He is said to have committed the robbery with two others while armed with a chopper.

The third charge accuses him of robbing Ms Ding Chune of $3,800 and a $500 mobile phone with two men, including a fourth suspect.

The prosecution asked for a further week's remand.

His lawyer, Mr Kertar Singh, applied for bail but this was turned down by District Judge Danielle Yeow. The case will be mentioned again on Wednesday.
