Singapore's Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam will unveil the Budget tomorrow.

Following this, the public can give feedback on whether the Budget has addressed Singaporeans' concerns. REACH (Reaching Everyone for Active Citizenry @ Home), the former Feedback Unit, will be conducting a two-week post-Budget feedback exercise from Feb 15 to 29.

Various channels will be opened for the public, including those overseas, to give their views.

These include a radio talk show, dialogue sessions, web chats and text messages.

Pre-Budget feedback

Prior to this, REACH has spent the previous three months gathering the public's wishes for this year's
Budget. The exercise ended on Feb 1 and the feedback was sent to the Finance Ministry for consideration.

Bread and butter issues topped Singaporeans' wish list this year. They included concerns about taxation and cost of living. There were also suggestions of help for needy groups and for more resources for healthcare and education, as well as recommendations related to the environment.
