IT'S a park that's a massive 35,000 sq ft of fun - the size of eight basketball courts, in fact. But don't expect to run barefoot on grass in the open air at this park.
Sure, you can take your shoes off, but you have to keep your socks on. It's Singapore's largest indoor family park, opening at Downtown East at the end of this month.
The fully air-conditioned fun centre, called the eXplorerkid Family Park, is a venture by NTUC Club and can take up to 800 people at a time.
It's at the third level of Downtown East's new entertaiment complex, E!Hub, on the site of the former Pasir Ris Bowl site.
Built at a cost of over $5 million, the forest-themed park attraction will cater to kids from toddlers to 12-years-old, and big 'kids' as well - their parents.
Taking the brood out for a day at the park will never be the same again.
There are 11 play areas, such as an Adventure Highland rope-course, a rock-climbing wall, a synthetic-ice skating ring, a Mega Play maze, a toddlers' play area and a ball pool, parents can nosh at a cafe, watch a movie, or simply snooze in one of the special reclining chairs meant just for them.
There is also a colourful 25-m high Ferris Wheel mounted on the side of E!Hub, which can seen from the indoor park.
The park is already getting the thumbs-up from parents.
